Accessibility of online classes in COVID crisis in India

Posted by: Career Guide
India is teaching online. Smartphones are busy with small kids. These are the same kids who were used to play mobile games for hours. But on ground study on mobile is not going well with students and parents as well.

One step below the top of the pyramid I observed many problems. These are students who don't have personal laptop or computer. Often they use parent's devices.
A friend of mine work from home he took night shift so his daughter can study online. But the young one is not really happy as there is no interaction. She always need someone help during class.
Another instance, a house hold has 3 kids studying in 7, 9, 10 std. Home has only mobile.
Other problems.
Often in 1 room lives whole of the family sometime 8/9 members.
Mobile devices of low budget are not robust.
Internet speed is way beyond slow.
Video lessons are not well designed. Perhaps lack of IoT expertise in majority of teachers and low quality infra.
Many homes can't afford a laptop or PC. Mob screens are too small. I doubt if this won't cause stress on kids's minds.
Lesson quality delivered is poor often not deserve 1 point on a scale of 5 except very very very very very few exceptions.
India is teaching online. Really???
